The payment options available are the Automatic Clearing House (ACH) Debit, ACH Credit, Credit Card and Debit Card (treated as credit card).

ACH Debit – The ACH debit method allows you to transfer funds by initiating a request for debit to your bank account using the city’s E-File/E-Pay Program. To access the Columbus Tax E-File/E-Pay system, you must have an established City tax account and a City-assigned PIN.

ACH Credit – At your request, your bank transfers a payment into the City’s account together with a required addenda record of identifying information. To register for the ACH Credit Electronic Filing Program, you must have an established City tax account and complete and return the ACH Credit Registration Form. Once we receive your registration form, we will send you the information required for the transmission of funds to the City and assign the taxpayer a unique ACH Credit Registration Number to be used in the transmission.

Credit Card - Currently, MasterCard and Visa are accepted for paying any remittances with these electronic returns using the city’s E-File/E-Pay Program. A convenience fee will be added to your credit card transaction.

Debit Card - If your debit card is branded (i.e. Master Card or Visa) it can be used to electronically pay the tax using the city’s E-File/E-Pay Program. Like the credit card, a convenience fee will be added to your debit card transaction.
